Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is an American supernatural horror web television series developed by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa forNetflix, based on the Archie comic book series of the same name. The series is produced by Warner Bros. Television, in association with Berlanti Productions and Archie Comics. Aguirre-Sacasa and Greg Berlanti serve as executive producers, alongside Sarah Schechter, Jon Goldwater, and Lee Toland Krieger.
The series is centered on the Archie Comics character Sabrina Spellman, portrayed by Kiernan Shipka, and also stars Ross Lynch, Lucy Davis, Chance Perdomo, Michelle Gomez, Jaz Sinclair, Tati Gabrielle, Adeline Rudolph, Richard Coyle, and Miranda Otto. Originally in development during September 2017 at The CW, the series was intended to be a companion series to Riverdale; however, on December 2017, the project was moved to Netflix with a straight-to-series order, consisting of two seasons. Filming takes place in Vancouver, British Columbia, where both parts of the first season were shot back-to-back.
The first ten episodes were released on October 26, 2018. The series has received positive reviews, with critics praising Shipka's performance, as well as the premise, visuals, and directing. A Christmas special episode was released on December 14, 2018, and the second part of the first season was released on April 5, 2019. In December 2018, Netflix renewed the series for the second season of 16 episodes, which will also be split into two parts.
"Now time is running out on her every day, normal world, and leaving behind Roz and Susie and Harvey is a lot harder than she thought it would be. Especially because Sabrina isn’t sure how Harvey feels about her. Her cousin Ambrose suggests performing a spell to discover Harvey’s true feelings. But when a mysterious wood spirit interferes, the spell backfires… in a big way.
"Sabrina has always been attracted to the power of being a witch. But now she can’t help wondering if that power is leading her down the wrong path. Will she choose to forsake the path of light and follow the path of night? Our exclusive prequel novel will reveal a side of Sabrina not seen on the new NETFLIX show. What choice will Sabrina make and will it be the right one?"
The second season of the Netflix drama was released on April 5th 2019. You see a new batch of Satanic drama, a handful of new romances and a whole host of problems head Sabrina Spellman's way. The ending of season two also left fans a little shook over the huge catastrophic events involving Nick Scratch and the Dark Lord - and now we're all dying to know what's going to happen next.

The good news? It's already been confirmed that Sabrina will return for a third season (and a fourth!) on Netflix. But when will it be released? What will happen? Which cast members will return?
Is Chilling Adventures of Sabrina returning for season 3? Will there be a season 3 of Sabrina?
Yes. Sabrina part 3 is officially on the way. It was confirmed in December 2018 that Netflix has ordered two more seasons, to be called Part 3 and Part 4.
Speaking about the renewal, series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa said: “Praise Satan! I’m so grateful to my partners at Warner Brothers, Netflix, Berlanti Television and Archie Productions for supporting this darker vision of the world’s most famous teen witch and I’m thrilled to be continuing to tell Sabrina’s chilling adventures with our incredible cast and crew, led by the unstoppable Kiernan Shipka.”
3 release date: When is Sabrina season 3 coming out?
Currently, there is no official release date for Sabrina part 3. Production is set to resume at some point in April 2019 and the show will film the seasons back to back until fall 2019.
If the show follows the same production schedule as season 1 and 2 (released in October 2018 and April 2019), we could end up with a late 2019 release date for season 3 and a spring time release date for season 4. Either way, it's likely that we won't have to wait a whole year until part 3 is in our cold dead hands.
Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 3 cast: Who will return? Who is leaving?
Kiernan Shipka will be back as our fave daughter of Satan, Sabrina Spellman... obviously. Other characters that will return include: Ambrose (Chance Perdomo), Harvey (Ross Lynch), Zelda (Miranda Otto), Hilda (Lucy Davis), Prudence (Tati Gabrielle), Roz (Jaz Sinclair), Theo (Lachlan Watson), Agatha (Adeline Rudolph) and Dorcas (Abigail Cowen).
Despite going on the run at the end of season 2, Richard Coyle should also return at some point as Father Blackwood. Gavin Leatherwood will also likely return as Nick Scratch, who is now a vessel for the Dark Lord.
Michelle Gomez, who reemerged as Mary Wardwell in the season 2 finale, will also return... but will she ever be back as the newly crowned Queen of Hell?
As always with a new season, there will be plenty of new characters and probably a few more minor Riverdale actors jumping in to play some smaller roles on the show.
What will happen in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina season 3?
It's not yet clear whether season 3 will pick up right where season 2 left off but there's still plenty of storylines that need to be explored either way. Sabrina appears to lay out the plan for the third season in the very last scene of season 2: to go to Hell and rescue her boyfriend.
As we see in the final episode, the Dark Lord now inhabits Nick Scratch and has returned through the gates of Hell with Madam Satan/Lilith. Season 3 will likely explore how Sabrina goes about freeing Nick and bringing him back to Greendale. There's also the small matter of Miss Wardwell, who now has her body back after acting as Madam Satan's vessel for the past two seasons. She'll no doubt soon learn what happened to her, and also learn of the death of her fiancé Adam.
Ambrose and Prudence's storyline will likely focus on locating Father Blackwood and the twins and exacting their revenge on his actions at the end of season 2, when he attempted to wipe out the Church of Night.
Richard Coyle as Father Blackwood
Zelda is also now the High Priestess. The Dark Lord is no longer the ruler of Hell, so the coven suggests a rebrand to the Church of Lilith. With Father Blackwood's patriarchal dominance no longer in play, expect a female coven powerful enough to rival any warlock.
After the revelation involving Sabrina's true parentage, we'll likely also learn more about Sabrina's mother and father in season 3.
