BIG BROTHER will become available in Canada on Digital (iTunes), DVD and Blu-ray.

The film is produced by and stars Donnie Yen, best known for ROGUE ONE: A STAR WARS STORY and the IP MAN movie franchise.

Martial arts legend Donnie Yen stars as a former soldier recruited for his toughest mission yet – teaching a class of teen delinquents. As he kicks his way into their school and home lives, it becomes clear that his unconventional teaching style might be just what they need.


DONNIE YEN (“HENRY CHEN”)


Henry is the new teacher with a mysterious past. He was a US marine and now is a liberal studies teacher of Class 6B. Henry is also passionate and believes that everyone is equal and entitled to a good education.


Film star, Donnie, is a famous Hong Kong martial arts actor, film director and action choreographer, internationally known for his amazing martial arts skills. He is one of Hong Kong's most talented actor and 'action choreographer' in Hollywood for many years. In 2002, he appeared in “Hero” directed by Zhang Yimou, and attracted attention from all over the world again. His work has won Best Action Choreography Awards in the Hong Kong Film Awards and the Golden Horse Awards in Taiwan, including “Twins Effect” (2003), “Kill Zone” (2005), “Flash Point” (2007) and “Wu Xia” (2011). In 2008, Donnie starred in the highly acclaimed film “Ip Man”, a role that earned him the title of Best Actor in the 2th Iron Elephant Film Awards and the Outstanding Abroad Actor in the 13th China Huabiao Film Awards. The sequels “Ip Man 2” (2010) and “Ip Man 3” (2015) have also received worldwide recognition and attention.

In 2014, Donnie Yen received the Outstanding Asian Actor Special Award in the 8th Asian Film

Awards. Two years later his road to international stardom began with his memorable performance in the classic movie, Star Wars. In 2017, he delivered an outstanding performance in “Chasing the

Dragon”, bringing the infamous drug lord “Crippled Ho” to life.


JOE CHEN (“MS. LIANG”)


A Tak Chi Secondary School graduate, it has always been her wish for Tak Chi Secondary School to regain its momentum and escape the destiny of being shut down. She is conservative and thus, doubtful towards

Henry’s teaching methods.


Renowned Taiwanese actress, Joe made her debut through TV drama series, “Lavender”. She was the lead actress in romantic comedy TV series “The Prince Who Turns Into a Frog”(2005) and “Fated to Love You”(2008), which both broke the rating records of Taiwanese idol drama. Joe was nominated TV Series Actress in the 43rd Golden Bell Awards with her role in “Fated to Love You”. Today, she still holds the record for the highest ratings record for Taiwanese idol drama. In recent years, she acted in various mainland series, namely, “The Girl in Blue”, “The Queen of S.O.P”, “Beauties of the Emperor”, “Cruel Romance”. With her role as Dongfang Bubai in “Swordsman” (2013), she rose to fame in mainland. In 2013 and 2015, she participated in the stage drama, “Women on the Breadfruit Tree” and was awarded the Best Actress in The Denny Award in Beijing for the International Excellence in Theatrical Arts in 2015.


YU KANG (“KANE LUO”)


Yukang is the owner of Eagle Boxing Centre, and nothing stops him from claiming lands for the property developers. He had a keen interest in playing the piano when he was young until he broke his arm in a fight with class mates, which bitter and confused.


Yukang is also a famous choreographer and actor in Hong Kong. Following the international superstar Donnie Yen’s martial arts team for more than 10 years and has been trained in martial arts for more than 30 years. YuKang’s skills and ability is well-recognized by audiences critics. He started his career as a stunt double and soon became a skilled choreographer. Recently he has been more active as an actor, his with notable works such as: “Dragon Tiger Gate” (2006), “Dragon” (2011), “Special ID” (2013), “Kung Fu Jungle” (2014) and “Iceman” (2014), “Chasing the Dragon” (2017), etc. In the film “Chasing the Dragon” he was nominated the Best Action Choreographer in the 37th Hong Kong Film Awards.


JACK LOK (“JACK LI”)


From the Chinese mainland he was born in a poor family. His parents passed away when he was little. He and his ill grandmother lived off social assistance and today works part-time at a Chinese restaurant. Jack is a kind-hearted , good kid, but at the same time often gets into conflicts with Jake. In the film he was once led astray while working for Kane, but Henry gets him back on the right track.


In real life Jack Lok is a young Chinese young actor and singer. He graduated from Sichuan Conservatory of Music and made his official debut as a member of the boy group Mr. BIO in 2015. In 2016, his appearance as a 'coo' pianist in “Our Shining Days”, gaining him much public attention. Later, he took on the role of the sophisticated and faithful Ling Bei Xiu in costume drama, “The Lost Swordship”(2017). He was also the leading male actor in the comedy, “Bi Y Jin Xing Shi” and Sci-Fi web series, “My Robot Boyfriend”.



KAM KA WAI (DIRECTOR)


Kam Ka Wai, is a veteran Hong Kong filmmaker and has worked an Associate Director on many blockbuster movies, including Lady Cop & Papa Crook (2008), Ip Man (2008), Accident (2009), Poker

King (2009), Ip Man 2 (2010), Flirting In The Air (2014), From Vegas To Macau II (2015), and Helios (2015). In 2015 he directed his first feature length film iGirl. In mainland China , iGirl has created a new-audience record of views for the online channel of iQIYI, earning Kam much praise.


In 2017, “Colour of the Game”, also directed by Kam, was shown in theatres in mainland China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, etc. It gained Kam even more exposure as an international talent. In the same year his work, a web movie “Queen of Triads”, received 11 million hits on iQIYI in just three days after its release.



BRUCE TONG (“BRUCE GUAN”)


In the film Bruce is the twin brother of Chris, a hard worker. He dreams of getting rich and living a luxurious life. However, he was born with Attention Deficit Disorder and his academic results are always far from satisfactory. Also, Bruce loathes his alcoholic father.


Before starting his acting career Tong graduated from University of California, Los Angeles with twin brother Chris. Being the son of the famous TVB artiste, Kent Tong Chun Yip, Bruce has done runway shows and advertisements as a model. He is one of the most anticipated young actors in Hong Kong.


CHRIS TONG (“CHRIS GUAN”)

The younger brother of Bruce, who is obsessed with video gaming and sees it as an escape from real life problems. Chris thinks that his father does not understand or appreciate his achievements in the gaming world. Chris' dream is to be an E-sport champion and gain his father's respect.


Along with his real life twin brother he too is a graduate from University of California.


GLADYS LI (“GLADYS WANG”)

Gladys plays a tomboy who has a patriarchal father but appears to have the strongest family ties with her brother. She can also get jealous of her brother and hold a grudge towards other family members. She dreams of becoming successful a car racer.


Gladys Li is a Hotel and Tourism Management graduate from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. During her school years, she was a part-time model, appearing in several advertisements and MVs. She gained public attention with her 'pure face' and signature style short hair. She has acted in the ViuTv drama series, “3X1”(2016), Fantastic TV drama series “100 Days of Love II” (2017).


GORDON LAU (“GORDON XIANG”)

In the film Gordon is a South Asian born and raised teen in Hong Kong. He speaks fluent Cantonese but is discriminated for his skin tone and thus has stopped him pursing is true dream of being a singer.


Gordo, the actor, is internet-famous in Hong Kong and actively participates in shooting topical social experiment videos, creating a large fan base among the youth with his fresh, unique style.
