Starring PASCALE HUTTON as Rosemary LeVeaux, ERIN KRAKOW as Elizabeth Thatcher, LORI LOUGHLIN as Abigail Stanton.
Elizabeth Thatcher starring Erin Krakow is a young teacher accustomed to high society, so she experiences culture shock when she gets her first classroom assignment in Coal Valley. Life in the small mining town is filled with challenges. A recent explosion has killed more than a dozen of the town's miners, compelling the widows of those men to work in the mines to earn money. One of them -- Abigail Stanton, whose husband was foreman at the site of the tragedy -- welcomes Thatcher and tries to help her adjust to frontier customs. Constable Jack Thornton, also a newcomer, is not as welcoming, because he believes Thatcher's wealthy father doomed his career by assigning him to Coal Valley so he could protect Elizabeth. Over time, though, Elizabeth and Jack become closer and begin a relationship. Janette Oke's books about the 1900’s Canadian West inspired the series.
The Western romantic period drama is airing its sixth season, which will undoubtedly be a tough one for superfans, also known as “Hearties,” to adjust to after Elizabeth Thatcher (Erin Krakow) lost her husband, Jack (Daniel Lissing). But with a new baby—and help from her pals like Abigail (Lori Loughlin)—Elizabeth and loyal viewers alike will both find a way to move past Jack’s death.
Elizabeth Thornton (Erin Krakow), now a single mom in season 6, cares for her newborn son, Jack Jr., but must return to work and quickly realizes she needs more support than she already has. Abigail (Lori Loughlin) prepares for the arrival of the telephone while Bill Avery (Jack Wagner) and Henry Gowan (Martin Cummins) both have their eye on buying the saloon that recently has gone up for sale.
Meanwhile, Rosemary (Pascale Hutton) senses a spark between Dr. Carson (Paul Greene) and Faith (Andrea Brooks). Not being able to stop herself, she tries to play matchmaker, much to Lee’s consternation.
