BENJAMIN ROSS HAYDEN: GOOD NEWS AND MORE GOOD NEWS FOR AWARD-WINNING ALBERTA FILM DIRECTOR
Benjamin Ross Hayden is the Metis writer and director of the acclaimed film The Northlander and was featured on premier edition of I’m Here With Magazine. Since then, he's recently got some great news
from all his success last year. His movie has landed a much coveted deal with Gravitas Ventures and will be released on multiple platforms, including DVD/ Blu-Ray, a television broadcast and video on-demand in the US and UK. The film is available in Canada on Cineplex Store, NFB.ca, APTN, iTunes. The Northlander is a sci-fi/fantasy and part of the new genre of Indigenous futurism – and a sub-genre that Hayden is the first film director to explore. The young film Director's next theatrical feature has been given a ‘go’ for production this year! It’s his most ambitious project yet with more details to come. Much of his new movie is a secret for now, but he shares with us, “My next film is a total departure from the nomadic wilderness of The Northlander. This film will be a new style and a story about memory and simulation, of the future and nostalgia together at the same time.” This film has already been picked up broadcast on prime-time on APTN and Hollywood Suite.
